Set on an acre of natural Caribbean beauty, Mooncottage is private and romantic. Tucked within lush gardens and set high on a green hill, Mooncottage receives constant trade winds that assure cool comfort and offers a sweeping 180 degree panorama of Coral Bay, Tortola, Norman Island and Virgin Gorda. The setting and layout of Mooncottage make it an ultimate spot for a honeymoon, couples retreat or getaway for a family of four.
Mooncottage consists of two pavilions crafted in native stonework bordered by a graveled garden courtyard set with a bubbling koi pond and connected by a solar-heated swimming pool with an adjacent covered verandah overlooking the ocean. The shaded porch just outside the pavilion beckons relaxation or a light feast from the gas barbeque. A hammock awaits quieter moments or a well deserved snooze. Indoors, you will find a home entertainment system with a flat screen TV, DVD player, movie collection and iPod docking station. High speed Internet access is complimentary. Feel free to ask our dedicated concierge about the pre-stocking and personal chef options to help you settle in right on arrival.
The main pavilion is tastefully furnished with upholstered sofas and chairs and accented with teak and exotic hardwoods. The pavilion includes a colorful gourmet kitchen and a full bath with a moon window. Sliding doors throughout the villa allow full access to the blissful tropical breeze.
Mooncottage comprises one master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and an alfresco shower. An additional queen bed is located on one side of the living pavilion. Both areas provide easy access to the pool and deck area. This luxury villa welcomes families with children twelve years of age and over.
Mooncottage is just a short drive down the hill to Coral Bay, putting you within minutes of bars, restaurants and beaches. You will find many options for nearby water sports including sailing, snorkeling and kayaking. This charming setting marks an enchanting enclave where dreams and serenity wrap you in a meditative spell and create unforgettable memories of days in the island sun.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
• Since Mooncottage is located far from town and in the jungle, Wi-Fi reception can be choppy at times. We would not recommend this destination for a ‘working holiday.’
• We recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle since the roads to this villa can be quite rough.

Mooncottage is located in Calabash Boom - a lovely, secluded, quiet community. The Calabash Boom Road to Mooncottage is owned by the VI Territory and is largely unpaved. Seasonally, it can sometimes get pretty bumpy. However, any 4-wheel drive vehicle can handle it easily; renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required for Mooncottage. In late 2010, steep sections of the road were paved, and some concrete water bars were installed to help keep the road in better shape. Is it perfect? No. It will only be perfect when it is completely paved, which won't happen for a while. Is it navigable? ABSOLUTELY! Actually, many guests think it's fun going up and down! But, the road is now routinely maintained to make it as smooth as it can possibly be.
